Big news this episode. I got my hands on Vikter Duplaix's new release, Electric Love. Can only hope this is a sign of an album to come soon. I'll have that scoop for you all soon. Also, among a selection of solid soulful tunes, I included a great hip hop track from The Chevy Rydah. Not the usual style but it's a great track and deserved to be heard. We at NuVeyebz productions welcome you to another episode of The Soul Clap podcast. Thanks for tuning in. As mentioned on Twitter, this episode delves once again into the wealth of music that can be found in Japan but goes unheard by many. Open your mind to new styles and let the clearly Japanese Nu-Jazz style take you to somewhere new. Welcome everyone to another episode of The Soul Clap podcast. This episode is dedicated to the artists under Tokyo Dawn Records. A label out of Germany where some high profile artists got their start such as Domu and Henrik Schwarz to name a few. They were one of the first "Netlabels" back in 1996 and continue to pave the way with intelligent, conscious soul music. This year saw the relaunch of the label and their first full length release with the much anticipated Polyshufflez album from Comfort Fit. A few recent signings of note have been artists like Resound (a very popular Drum & Bass

as well as the popular podomatic podcast from Blacktroniks http://www.podomatic.com/profile/blktrnk Be sure to check out those sites and check out the cool gear. Remember, it's our responsibility to keep these labels alive so we can keep enjoying the music we love. Without labels like them, we will all have to listen corporate "hipPop". So do your part. Thanks To the team at Tokyo Dawn Records for providing NuVeyebz Productions with some really great tracks for this podcast and a lot more to come! Feel free to comment on the tracks either here or directly at the Tokyo Dawn website above. 1. Brown Said / Anthony Baggette

No other passing of an artist has touched me as profoundly as the passing of Michael Jackson. I have always been a devoted MJ fan, even when it was unpopular to be. My loyalty never faltered nor wavered. May he finally find peace. Here is a collection of covers, from Brazilian bossa to The famous Jamaican Reggae Icon, Yellowman. Although a diss track, none can deny his influence and impact on the music scene all over the world, crossing genres as well. So dim the lights and lets all mourn the loss of one of Soul music's brightest lights in our own way while the tones play. 1. Startin Something / Dwele

I threw in a classic but seldom heard track from Gil Scott-Heron. Pure brilliance. A 70's black civil rights song that stirred up more than a little controversy. Feel free to comment on this at http://thesoulclap.podomatic.com 1. Looking Back / Silhouette brown
